LABOR DAY!

I love the weekend! The weather is perfect here, and everything just seems so laid back and easy.

Jet and Joey started their weekend by heading to IA city to watch the Hawkeyes kill the Bears. Jet had an awesome time, and is sooo into football right now. He watches it constantly, and is always analyzing the plays and what is going on. Its really cute.

While the boys were gone Mom and I headed down to a very busy, but enjoyable farmers market. We shopped and had lunch and then headed home to wait for the boys. When they arrived, Dad joined us and we ordered in Chinese and made a kitty house in the dining room for all the kitties (the kids) that we have here. Funny, Sambo, the only feline in the house stayed far away!!

Sunday we headed out to Jenny and Rons for a pool party with the Solingers. We commented the whole way home that we cant wait until we get started on our own backyard transformation, we both love to swim, and entertain, but its always much more convenient if it was at our home.

Also, we found a nanny!!! I am sooo excited and it was by far the highlight of the weekend. IT happened totally by coincidence. Haylee, Joeys cousin has worked at a daycare for years and years, she is also a CNA and went through Mercys RN program for a year before switching schools and deciding to be a pharm. sales rep. Anyway, on the way home I just mentioned that I wished she wasnt in school because she is always so amazing with the kids. Joey picked up his phone and called her and it turns out the her schedule works perfectly with ours and she would love the job!!! SO HOORAY! Someone we totally trust and we know is great with our kids!

Also, while we were there some big girls (7 or 8) decided to dress Jenica up like a princess and then have her come downstairs for a big unveiling to all at the party. She was so cute and I had never ever seen her so docile and reserved. She really wanted to play with them and she just thought they were sooo cool. Adorable.

Haylee and Josh also had their baby black lab/golden retriever mix with them Shasta. Oh My God, I sooo want a puppy right now, keep me away for the pet stores, I am not thinking rationally!

And to save the best news for last........MY SISTER IS HAVING TWINS!! I know, I am in shock too. Such a happy shock I cant even describe it. They heard the heartbeats and everything looks great!! She is due in late March/early April!!!

Today we are just hanging out and grilling with the kiddos....gotta love a day off!
